Computer Problems during Conversions from AVI to DVD

    Hey everyone, I've been trying to encode AVI's in to DVD's. I've tried 4 different programs, convertxdvd, divxtodvd, nero, and WinAVI. Everytime during the encode process, my computer decideds to restart on me. I finally got fed up and decided to try to encode the video in Windows Safe Mode with WINAVI. My computer did not restart this time, but WINAVI gave me the error message:

    AppName: winavi.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName:
    mmtranslation.dll
    ModVer: 7.7.0.0 Offset: 000164c8

    I have no clue what this means, but I'm hoping someone will know something about this and help me with my problem. Any help is appreciated!

    I guess maybe there is something wrong with your pc,if not why those softwares can't convert files? Have you checked it? Or you can email to support@winavi.com,tell them the error message you have.They may have ways to fix it.

    Turn off automatic reboot and wait for the Windows blue screen of death to arrive and tell you what exactly is the problem.

    Try running memtest86.
