its taking about 5-6 mins just to start up and iam not sure if its too many programs on my taskbar (which i dont) or some sort of trojan or something monitoring my activities. i have run avast, trend micro, ad-aware, ccleaner and ewido but nothing comes up. iam not sure if this helps but i have never used a program intended for finding root kits and it might be the problem. as for my programs on the taskbar, i have: zone alarm, my printer, trend micro, a search application, win zip, avast, my graphics card's logo, my internet service provider's logo, picture package icon, and two different sound icons and a volume icon. any suggestions? cheers here is my hijack this log: Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\aswUpdSv.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashServ.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\CTSvcCDA.exe C:\Program Files\ewido anti-malware\ewidoctrl.exe C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\sdhelp.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\devldr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\SOUNDMAN.EXE C:\Program Files\Creative\Audio\PROGRAM\CTMIX32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\carpserv.exe C:\Program Files\Telstra\Cable Login\bpcable.exe C:\PROGRA~1\ALWILS~1\Avast4\ashDisp.exe C:\Program Files\Telstra\Signup\tbpt.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel\atiptaxx.exe C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zlclient.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\MSMSGS.EXE C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Distillr\acrotray.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\AiO\hp officejet g series\Bin\hpoavn07.exe C:\Program Files\Sony Corporation\Picture Package\Picture Package Menu\SonyTray.exe C:\Program Files\Sony Corporation\Picture Package\Picture Package Applications\Residence.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Tmas\Tmas.exe C:\Program Files\Windows Desktop Search\WindowsSearch.exe C:\Program Files\WinZip\WZQKPICK.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\MsPMSPSv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\SearchIndexer.exe C:\PROGRA~1\HEWLET~1\AiO\Shared\Bin\hpoevm07.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\hpoipm07.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashMaiSv.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashWebSv.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs\vsmon.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\AiO\Shared\bin\hpOSTS07.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\AiO\Shared\bin\hpOFXM07.exe C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\MailFrontier\mantispm.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\SearchProtocolHost.exe C:\Program Files\hijackthis\65656.exe R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896 R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157 O2 - BHO: Yahoo!
