Hey My mates computer resets itself right after it gets to around the logging in stage. Once or twice it loaded the start bar and desktop icons but right after that it just resets and loops indefinately. We tried some stuff with the windows xp home disc but there was no repair functionality listed. I think it might be the boot.ini but I'm no expert. What would be the easier way to fix this problem without formatting. Thanks a lot.
i don't know why your mates computer is contently restarting. however i can tell you it wouldn't be related to boot.ini if it's actually getting to a point where you are able to log into windows.
