My computer runs slow probably due to outdated norton. Can anyone tell my what antivirus,adware and malware programs to use, preferably free software. Also can anyone can tell me how to post a log to help clean up my computer.

1. zone alarm firewall 2. avira antivirus free 3. firefox browser 3. returnil virtual system or sandboxie instead of bloated antispyware software. returnil puts your entire c: drive in a sandbox, sandboxie only puts your browser in a sandbox. The sandbox isolates the hard drive from the internet. All the above are free. Nothing will defeat the above protection, I use them with excellent results and no slowdown.
