computer shut down

    my com shut down and i smelt burning my cpu fan was broke so i bought a new motherboard k7s41gx and new 2500+ amd cpu and heatsink now my co starts up right away when i turn it on and shuts down in 3-5 seconds what should i do

    sounds like a heat issue my friend, try reseating the heat sink, and use artic silver 5 on hte bottom of the heat sink, a drop should do the trick when smoothed, see if that helps.

    does your power supply meet the boards requirements ?

    try running the board with no roms or drives attatched tell us what you get
    ]
    3-5 sec is not really long enough for an overheat shutdown

    is the 2nd power connector attached to the motherboard?
