computer shuts down while burning

    recently while burning anything on my internal dvd burner my computer will just go off after it starts burning?? I dont understand why this is happening?? I have burned many good dvd's on this computer with no problems.........Has anyone heard of this and I already checked the temperature of my pc it has 3 fans going into it and its well ventilated......please help???

    Might check your powersupply.

    i have the same problem.i thought it was my drive so i got a new one it installed easy(lite on)but the same troble still --when i push the disk in the computer starts freezing and will reboot within 10 seconds and just keeps rebooting (even with no disk in tray) my power is good ribbon is new-driver is updated-the CPU runs perfectly with the tray out --push it in and all it does is reeboot --please help im going crazy--tried all 3 settings -master,slave,cable select the drive i thought was broken i i puy in my other CPU and it works fine

    Might not be the same problem But my computer reset it self when ever I tried to burn or copy a disk. I narrowed the problem down to dvd43 conflicting with nero removed dvd43 and never had another problem

    i did a system restore back to july and it still dident help my problem(the drive worked in july)i did that to see if it was something i did or un-did with my CPU hardware or software since then still no good --Baffeled!

    Might make sure all dust and fuzz are cleaned out /off your boards, psu, fans, etc....
