computer turns on but nothing on the screen

I have a pc it turns on but no pic on dcreen what does this mean? does it need another video card?

 

that could be one of many possible answers, when did it start happening?

 

DO you have another monitor you can hook up to see if you get the same results? Does the system seem to boot all the way even though there is no video? Are there any beeps when your first turn on the computer? Did you recently change anything around inside the system?

I hooked up another monitor and does the same thing and no it doesnt make any sound it just comes on like it should

 

Do you have a videocard and have recently moved the PC in question around? If so try reseating the video card into its slot and reattaching any needed cables.

 

Ill try that and see what happens ..

 

Well no luck it still has no pic i guess i have to buy another one.

 

Could just be a faulty video card. If the monitors work on other pcs, and you have re-connected the video card, time to purchase another video card or have it replaced if you have warrenty
