computer won't boot to bios

    hello, i just installed a VIA 6421L chipset and when i start my pc and hit F2 to enter bios, my pc won't let me. it like doesn't power my keyboard untill i enter windows so i am unable to hit F12 or F2 to enter setup or bios. is there any way that i can enter bios or setup through a command promp from windows?

    that's a strange one.. Check your floppy cable. Do you get any errors on the initial bios boot screen?

    some computers us the delete key to get into the bios at start up..

    in fact i am now on a computer that uses delete..to get into the bios..

    moved to correct forum & more likely is "del" to enter bios.

    sorry, i looked around but figured that this was the most correct forum to post at. my case is different; before i installed my via sata raid card, i could always boot into bios but now it is like my keyboard isn't even on when i startup. i cant hit any keys at all. is there a way to boot from windows at all? i think this is the only way that i am going to be able to do it. thanx a bunch.
