Computer wont detect 80 gb

    My computer wont detect my 80 gb 5th gen, Ive uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it and i've done everything it tells me to do on the apple site except erase and restore, the strange thing about it is it will work on other peoples computers perfectly. Can anyone help me with this problem?

    when you connect your ipod to the pc, go on your device manager, under usb devices, find the one with the yellow exclamation sign on the, right click and uninstall it, then restart your computer re-connect the ipod and wait for windows to detected and reinstall the drivers. Good luck.

    There isnt one with an exclamation, the computer is charging it but not detecting it.

    if you haven't done so, set the ipod to disk mode, hold the menu and center until the ipod powers off then imediately release the menu and hold play and center button until you see a check mark on the ipod screen then connect to the computer.
