Greetings everyone, I hope someone here can be of assistance as I am a newb and growing frustrated. I have recently reformatted and reinstalled windows on my computers. Since then I have not been able to burn anything to a dvd-r disc or back up anything to a disc. I formatted under RAW and don't know if that means abything to anyone. I have updated all drivers on all disc drives. This seems to be across the board on all my computers. I am using the sony dvd-r discs that I used before with no problems, that was about 2 years ago though. The drives recognize the disc as a dvd-r but have 0mb under space and also size. Under properties it says that the drives are not capable of burning but they were before and I have the enable box checked under properties. What could I be missing? I am up to date windows xp sp3 anything else... I have a feeling there is something in the rom or bios that is preventing me from writing to discs Thanks in advance!
XP does not support burning to DVD disk. You must have been using a third party program. ImgBurn can burn data to DVD's. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/imgburn.cfm
Wow, I wanted to thank you for your insight and for not flaming me for what appears now to be obvious. I was wrong about XP and that`s where the confusion came from. Thanks again!
Okey-dokey. Flaming isn't encouraged at Afterdawn. The Moderators don't care much for those who worship themselves.
