    Hey peacefull

Haha... I know I said to start a new thread, but if your question is concerning routers, the malware section of the afterdawn forums may not be the best place to post it.

However, I do have some knowledge of configuring routers. First of all, I need to know some stuff about your router.

    1. What model is it?

    2. Right-click on your wireless icon. Click on Status, and go to the tab Support. What is your default gateway?

    Best Regards :D

    Hey peacefull

Go to My Network Places, and click on View network connections. Right-click on your wireless icon. Click on Status, and go to the tab Support. What is the default gateway which is listed there?

    Best Regards :D

    Haha... no.

Ok. I will guide you step-by-step.

Go to My Network Places. This is usually in the Start menu. If you cannot find it, go to My Computer, and in the address bar, type in My Network Places.

Next, click on View network connections. This is usually somewhere to the left of the window.

There will be an icon with "wireless" in its name. Right-click on it. Click on Status, and then click on the tab Support.

Look at the information which pops up. There will be these words: Default Gateway:. What are the numbers next to it?

    Best Regards :D

    Hey peacefull

    What do you not have?

PS: I just looked over your old posts, and if you want to mask your ip with your router, it isn't possible unless you have a super high-tech router, which linksys is not. Get a proxy or anonymizing software.

Proxies and anonymizing software will mask your ip.

Proxies are in-between computers which you connect to, so that when you connect to anything else, it looks as if the in-between computer is the one which is connecting.

Anonymizing software will direct your connections to their own proxies, so that your ip will be different from your actual one.

    Does this help?

    Best Regards :D

Yes... that's the one I'm looking for.

This is the step I was trying to get you to take. Without physical access to your router, I cannot help you configure it. What do you need to configure it for though?

    Best Regards :D
