So here is my scenario. Just loaded unleashx and all of the goods onto my xbox, which i upgraded to a 120gb hard drive. This xbox has never been on xbox live, and neither has the new hard drive (duh). So here are my problems. First im pretty sure ive gotta get the xbox to load the original ms dash so that i can setup my account. If it would make it any easier, i have my account my roomates xbox and a memory card that i could transfer it with - if that would work then awesome. so how would i go abouts getting the ms dash up? and secondly after all is setup, i just want to make sure i have this correct. if i start my xbox with halo2 in the drive, technically the mod/hacked bios didnt load and it should be fine to go on live right? i would appreciate any help. thanks
From what I have gathered is that YES if you load the original Halo2 disk in the drive at start up you can play on xbox live. Someone else with more experience with live could prolly help more. But from other threads like this, the answer was always that you had to have the actual game not a back up to play on Live.
If your running on a moded dash u cold boot Meaning-Put the game in the xbox tray close it turn it off then on with the game in the xbox
no guys, im saying you know how on a regular xbox, you would setup xbl through the dashboard (boot w/o a disc). i cant setup xbl via halo2....
also from what ive read it sounds like i could do this with an xbox live disc, however i should make it clear that i do not have one. i got my code free on ebay with a purchase of a headset.
alright man, set your network settings on your modded dash to DHCP once you launch it from evox or unleashx it will have the settings from that dash so you need to change the M$ dash to IP settings: automatic then try to set one up from the M$ dash
when i press eject the ms dash doesnt load. that seems to be the only way i can do this. how can i get it to load the dash via eject button. it loads the old unleashx dash
get a different softmod that allows dual boot, or get a mod chip, btw you can set up xbox live via halo 2 just go to the xbox live tab on halo2 menu then go to setup new account
i dont want a different softmod, and i tried going through the menu, it boots the dash but gives me a error 21. so i just assumed it wasnt loading it from the right place or something.
wow you make such a simple thing so hard, take your memory card and copy the account to it and then load unleashx go to gamesaves manager go all the way to the bottom it should have the memory card there it wont be different but it should have the account go to that and press a on it and copy it over and there ya go...
thats the thing i dont even know how to copy my settings to the memory card. i have it setup on my roomates xbox, and didnt see anything about being able to copy anything within xbox live to my memory card. as for my dashboard i am going to try do run an update.xbe from a game and see if that will fix my ms dash probs.
thats going to mess you up buddy i wouldnt do that and load his ms dash and go to memory and the xbox hard drive then go all the way down to xbox live accounts move over to yours press a then copy to the memory card then copy from your memory card to your xbox via the way i said above, wow not so hard if you think
i know you are ready to choke me but i did it before i read your post. basically neither eject nor power boots, i just get an error 21. i can load unleashx via game save but thats about it. how can i fix this man. i appreciate your help
just reinstall your softmod via the thing you installed from the first time just copy your evox crap to C or E depending on where your bios boots from first, generally it boots C first
ive got everything working except the msdash. i look in the msdash folder and see xodash folder and xodashdata so it looks like it at least tried to get on live at one point. im still stuck because pressing eject just brings up the unleashx dash. what am i not doing right?
