Hiya Ive just got the numm modem cable from ebay and Im getting set up for a flash. Ive looked at this link on telling if it is a clone or not and Im a bit confused. http://www.freewebs.com/svclones/ My box has 18x7 vents which would mean it is a clone. And the scart sockets are on the right which would again indicate it is a clone.But in the remote control section my remote control looks exactly like the one that says it is genuine. Im not too keen on opening up motherboards ( but will if I have to ). If I have the genuine remote control can I assume it is a genuine box even though the scart sockets are in the wrong place for a genuine box? I just want to be sure before I go to flash it as if I am wrong then I could end up with a dead box. Any help much appreciated.
flash it with the Crypstar-v1.4-Core 2.57.bin if you are not sure. This is clone safe & can be used on genuine boxes also. BTW, I presume its the St*rview 1 you have?
