Confused on SD Loader

    I am confused even after all the reading. I have the stuff to make the SD Loader with memory card, etc. I have a Gamecube with Qoob Pro chip in it and have 2 others with no chips. I am going to be considering the XenoGC chip since it can play backups as well.

    But question I have about SD Loader is what is needed for sure to run backups on the unmodded GC console? Or is this possible and if so for sure what is needed.

    Sorry to sound so confusing.
