Just wondering if anyone can explain something to me...a friend of a friend was telling me about someone they know already has C***** MMDS for the past 2 years and have been using a box t and getting all required channels. Recently another person in the same house got a new connection off the same ariel and got a new C***** box installed in another room...they purchased a digivox t to pick up required channels but channels show up with no pic. Meanwhile the Box t is still working in the other room....is it possible one box is on N3? Very confused...if you could help it'd be greatly appreciated...

it may be that the mmds aerial can only only feed one box at a time, try putting the first box in to standby mode and do a scan again on the second box,if it works now then both boxes cant be fed from one aerial. you can do it on cable in as many rooms as you like, but mmds is a different system.

also if the channels are showing up on the box then something is working...could it be just a loose scart????

the channels aren't showing up..you can pick them up on automatic scan but when you try to turn on the channel...scrambled or bad channel appears.

the reason is that one box has the necessary files to decode channels and the other box does not have the appropriate files installed to clear channels. time to do a bit of research

It could be as simple as the EMU setting is switched off.
Was the box flashed with the appropriate software ?
Just look through the threads and you'll find all the answers.
Unfortunately, your'e a bit late joining the game.

a scart wont block your box unscrambling the channels, as fintann said you most likely need to update your box to the latest firmware (click on the link in my signature area)but if your in ireland it wont last much longer. google is your friend look at starview 6 or cs.
