Hi, Newby here so hope this is the right forum. Recently picked up a NAD T571 DVD/CD changer on ebay for a great price. Using it primarily to play HD CD's. Would like to hook it up to my PC (HP Pavilion MEdia Addition) with video inputs in front (composite (yellow RCA) and s-video jacks).
The reason I want to hook it up is to use the monitor while using the DVD remote. It's supposed to play MP3 cds but it looks like the remote has more options for playback then the buttons on the machine itself. The problem is I need to see the onscreen display.
Not sure if I need any special cables or converters to get the player to display on my pc monitor (Gateway 17" HD display).
    Any help is apppreciated.

Inputting the dvd player to the computer should work. You won't need any special cables as long as the output on the dvd player matches the ones on the front panel. Plug it in and open the capture card software and setup to use that port. I haven't tried a dvd player but it works with the Wii.

I'll give it a shot. That's what I thought but I wasn't sure about the video capture card.
    Thanks for the response.
