connecting 2 sets of speakers to pc to get surround sound effect

    i have 2 sets of speakers and i want to connect them together to my pc's speaker out to get a sorround sound effect.Can any one suggest me how i can do that.
    I have an integrated sound max card.

    Yeah, so just get standard RCA audio cable splitters, quan.2 req'd (L & R) if you have only one stereo output from SoundMax. Do you have more outputs? Besides the std Stereo (green) SoundMax can provide rear channel signal through another output.
    You must config this using software under Windows.

    can u tell me what software should i use.
    i guess there is onl;y one audio out port (ie the green one...the other one is the line in i guess..not sure..its the blue one)
    can u tell me any specific ones from what i shld buy for the splitter.

    Your splitter could be 1-RCA female > 2-RCA female, or whatever gets it hooked up for you Harris. :)
    Go to the website of your mobo mfg (if you have lost or never had the disk that came with your mobo) and they will have the latest SoundMax driver pkg.
    If you're getting sound, then you must have some kind of drivers in there now. Unless Windows recognised your SoundMax (unlikely) then audio drivers were installed at some point...
    But I dunno your specifics. Learn about your SoundMax and its capabilities: you tell me whether it outputs 4 channels or not!
    If you have no knowledge or documentation, pop the side-cover off the PC and get the mobo make and model, or go to the PC website if it is a proprietary brand-name machine.
