Hey i'm having serious problems with connecting my PS3 to my net

    I've done it before
    But now it's stopped working

I've tried disabling my fire wall for both my pc and my router
I've also changed the settings for the WEP and WPA (I'm on orange broadband[England] so it allows me to change between them)

And my PS3 says it can find my internet and says its between 80% to 100%

But it either tells me to check the security settings for the wireless LAN, or that when it trys to obtain my IP that the connection times out

    I'M SO FRUSTRATED!
    Please help me someone!

    Try this: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610541
If that doesnt work, try a wired connection to see if that works. Preferably the system should use a wired connection anyway to avoid signal loss and or ping issues (causes bullet lag in online games).

No you should never disable your security. You don't want to have an open connection so that anyone can just hop on. Changing your WEP key should not cause you problems as all you'll end up doing is copying the key thats generated by your router and enter it in the PS3 during the setup. Just remember that if down the road you change your WEP security keys your going to have to re-enter it in your PS3 other wise you wireless connection will be lost.

This is the process i go through to try and set up my internet without a WEP or WPA and with my router firewall disabled.

Easy>(then it says "checking network configuration")> Wireless > Scan >

    SSID / Security/ Signal>
    Livebox - AC-78(the name of my router)/ None / 87%>

    WLAN security settings
    None

    Then it says this
A connection to the access point could not be established.
Check the security settings for the wireless LAN (8013013E)

    Help me please?

If that dosnt work, use WEP on both your PS3 and router, then when it asks you on the PS3 for your key type it in,it is usualy found on the back of your router.

    Dude...
    You're on Orange Broadband? Man....
I work for Orange and I have TalkTalk broadband...
Orange broadband has to be the worst thing that ever happened in the U.K...
It's been on Watchdog like 4 times...
Anyhoo...just wondering if it could be the Internet connection, but I doubt it...
Call up your router manufacturers and tell them the problem...
I'm sure they can help you...
