ok you dont need wipeout pure if you have 2.0 or higher all you need is a current dsl or cable internet connection and a wireless router that can be purchased at best buy or circuit city then connect the wireless router to your current internet connection then on your psp go to network settings then infrastructure then new connection and so on
If I dont have Tenchi Browser, how do I go to google, yahoo, etc... with my Wipeout Pure game? I have my PSP connect to Wipeout Pure homepage. And there are only 2 options on that web: Home and Download. I cant figure it out how to go to google or yahoo. If so, I have to have Tenchi browser in order to surf to webs. Can anyone give more info. Thanks.
in order to surf the web the right way which is must faster and has more featyres is to have firmware 2.0 or higher
There is, there's the Tenchi and Wipeout Bowsers. As for surfing the proper way on v2.0 How is that different to say the Tenchi Bwoser? Besides the small, but anoying problem that only a small percentage of the Worlds Denizens can actully speak, read and write Japanese. In which case you'll just have to purchase a copy of Wipeout Pure and use the Wipepout Browser there. No my Friend a proper Browse would include Macomedia Flash, which for reasions only known to $0NY, are stubernly refuesing to give us! That's the only >proper way< I know of to use the Web!! But of course I'll probably be useing it to view Threads in 2ch, 4ch, and iichan.
I have a psp and i have version 2.5 i'm tring to use the internet on it but when i try to make a connection is says that no access point detected. i have sbc yahoo dsl and the modem is on and i'm right here in fornt of the modem and it won't work.
ssid means for u to put the neme of the access point u want to connect to but there has to be one near by
you need your psp wirless router and dsl or some sort of internet. on your psp go to network settings/infrastructure mode/new connection/connection name/scan/none/easy/settings list/save/ test connection tell me if this helps make sure you have your wirless router turned on
Ok I haven't tryed every possible Avenue to get the PSP on the World Wild Web. Say by useing an 802.11*a*,b*,g* or n*, NIC* with a WAP* and ICS* turned on. I'm not even sure that would even work to be honest anymore. Even if it did, I'll have to addmit it would be chaeaper in the end to just go out and get the cheapest 802.11a,b,g Router that you can find. (i.e. eBay),. Since I have a very nice Uncle who gave me a such a Router. So now after a lot of *reading* and running though the Configurations, was finally able to get the PSP on the 'Net. If you are (that is was), like me and only use 802.3* to connect to the 'Net. Then YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE NETWORKING FEATURES OF THE PSP!! As 802.3 is a WIRED Connection, 802.11 is NOT WIRED (i.e. Wireless!),. So your going to either need a rather nice Uncle, or some deeper Pockets to get a Wireless Router. EOS! Ok so you have a 802.11 Router, and have it properly setup, under the circumstances that your going to wish to put it under! Your going to want to setup the PSP. Ok I think this part holds true for any PSP version. As every PSP has a Networking function on it (don't confuse this with the Broswe), that's only v2.00+ Ok on the PSP go to Settings -> Network Settings -> Infrastructure Mode. The First Option will let you name the Profile (i.e. Home /Office / Starbucks et-al),. The Second Option will allow you to Scan for avalible Networks! (yah Warchalking / Diving!) =) Depending on where you live you might find more then your own 'Network'. In anycase you should only try to use you own Network. makeing sure that you have closed it off by using a WEP* Encription. Speaking of WEP Key(s), the Third Option will allow you enter this Key! The Fouth Option will alow you to setup your Address Settings. I'd recomend that noobs use the 'Easy' (DHCP), Settings. Those that know how to setup IP Ports can use the Custom Setting. Since the Router should already have the PPPoE Settings installed on it. Use the Manual, Automatic would be the same thing as 'Easy' (I think!!),. Now since most Router use a Local IP Range (i.e. 192.168.xxx.xxx), you'll need to make sure that your PSP is within the same Subnet. For it to work. So for Sh*ts and Giggles let's say the Router had a IP Adress of 192.168.0.1 the PSP should have a IP Adress of 192.168.0.x (Greater then 1!!!),. The Subnet would ofcouse be 255.255.255.0. The Default Router, would be the Adress of the Router. 192.168.0.1 That should be it for those who have a PSP v2.0 Or higher! Now for those with v1.0 / v1.5... Change your Primary DNS to: 67.171.70.72!! It's the address to the 'PSP Web Portal'! I don't know if there are any better (i.e. faster![/i] Portals out there, but if you want to use Tenchi, Wipeout Pure or some other Browser. You'll need to have that IP Adress set to for the Primary DNS. The next Option is for the Proxy Server. I chose not to use this, If you want to feel free to enter the appropriate settings and continue. Now you'll should be able to press 'X' to save and test your connection(s), if everything passes then you can install Tenchi or someother Browser on your PSP. Or my next faverorite thing PSP Radio. on your PSP. * 802.3 - Standerd CAT-5 Wired Broadband 802.11 - Is the IEEE standard for Wireless Broadband. a - 2Mb/s b - 11Mb/s g - 54Mb/s n - Wi-Max NIC - Network Interface Card WAP - Wireless Access Point WEP - Wireless Encription Protocall ICS - Internet Connection Shareing
