i dont mean to post a 'how to' thread but i sm hsving a slight problem with ftp'ing. i connect my xbox and pc through cross over. in my nic settings i put my xboxs ip subnet and default gateway. but when i hit connect in flash, it says'connection refused'. what does this mean? how do i fix it. thanks in advance for your help. andrew
i'm no networking expert but i've found that you enter the ip of you network card in the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" IP box, your xbox's ip in the default gateway, and leave the subnet mask alone. i have kept my xbox's ip and its gateway the same to avoid confusion so try that. Here's my settings: PC Internet Protocol Properties: IP: 192.168.0.3 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.91 Xbox: IP: 192.168.0.91 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.91
how do i know what my nic's ip is? i give it a go when i get a chance, and let u know how i went, thanks, andrew
