I recently purchased this laptop from my neighbor, so as far as specs go im not quite sure. I know im running XP with SP2 with an AMD Turion 64 ML-32 with a gig of RAM. Ive ran AVG Free 8.0 many times to take care of any virus it might of had. (it had quite a few). Then I disable SYSTEM RESTORE ran CCLEANER restarted in SAFE mode and ran AVG again. I ran KASPERSKY ONLINE as suggested and no threats were found. Yet I'm still running at a constant high CPU usage when ever I use any program. See this page: http://kadaitcha.cx/high_cpu.html However, I don't think that you should rule out malware as a problem, as these entries are suspicious.
