I need to convert video from an IP camera where movies are saved in a .AV format, but I can't find anything that will convert them to something more common that can be uploaded to YouTube. If I renamed the .AV file to .AVI, I can see the movies without sound but the speed is increased by four times. After renaming the file extension to .AVI, Windows Movie Maker does not recognize it either despite being able to play in Windows Media Player. Can someone please point me in the right direction so that I can convert .AV videos into a format that retains the sound and frame rate? Thanks in advance for your help!
