does nero 7 or 8 ultra etc allow me to convert dvd audio to mp3 (ie music files on dvd to mp3 so i can play as mp3 or burn to cd)??? i know there are plenty of dvd audio ripper programs out there but im trying to find out if nero does this as my mate seem to think it does but he's never tried! i know you convert cd audio to mp3 using nero...
According to this, the audio has to be exported in .wav format then encoded to mp3 using other software - 'Audacity' comes to mind. http://my.nero.com/index.php?__path...6&NCSS=a100hojZRiDEqlqMcsKd0wPjqsB4BVsLDuzV#0
so in other words nero cant convert dvd audio to mp3 & im better of downloading a dvd audio ripper program such as audacity???
As you noted in your initial post, there are many ways of extracting the audio from a DVD, but generally (unless you want a two hour MP3 of the DVD) you would use an editor (like Audacity) to select those parts that are of interest. Audacity (an audio editor - not a ripper) won't handle the native AC3 format, so it has to be converted to wav after being demuxed from the video or it is demuxed with a wav header, then loaded into Audacity.
thnaks, well looks like thats of no use as i want a dvd ripper not editor! thanks for all your help... if you know of any good dvd audio ripper programs please let me know? im after a crack version
Dvdfab platinum has an audio mp3 ripper under its 'mobile' option. I have used it several times on several different dvd's. Worked great for me.
is it only available as a free trial & if so does it have full or limited functions? or are there a free download program? if not i may have to get a crack copy version...
The trial version gives you full functions. You have a 30 day trial, with full functions. YOu can change the bitrate from 64-320, have several audio settings including mp3. And where to get a crack copy....not a good idea to mention that here in the forums. Especially since alot of us have bought the program (I own 2 copies).
