What is the best, cheapest and most importantly quickest software to convert DVD to VCD You may ask why would you do this well many folk still don't have DVD players orDVD Writers A friend of mine recently reported 30 hours to convert a 2 hour movie. Surely there is software around that can quicken this up Help please John
Remember that encoding to VCD also depends on how fast your processor is (mainly). I don't endorse encoding to VCD because the video playback quality really isn't that good. The most recommended encoder is TMPEng. Shoey

You can also get a free TMPGEnc copy!! http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/tmpgenc.cfm If your friend used TMPGEnc already for the conversion then TMPGEnc over estimated the length of the file but thats esy to fix!!
