Hi all; I would like to convert all of my old vhs stuff to dvd. Here's what I have:

    WinXP Pro
    Abit KT7 motherboard
    512 mb ram
    Athlon 750 thunderbird
    nvidia tnt64 agp video
ati tv wonder capture card with coax, rca, and s-video inputs
    1 20gb hard drive (o.s.)
    1 60gb hard drive
    1 100gb hard drive
1 40gb hard drive (connected via usb; it's in an enclosure)
    Software I have:
    Adobe Premiere
    Tmpgenc
ATI media suite (came with the card and was updated to be compatible with WinXP)
    Virtual Dub
    DVD2AVI
    AVI2WAV
    Quicktime (full version)
    Soundforge 7
    DVD Maestro
and probably some others that I'm forgetting.

I've done some searching and haven't found anything for my specific capture card. Any suggestions?

Well Captureing from an All In wonder Card is no different than Captureing from any analogue Capture card, and there are as many ways to go about Backing up your VHS Tapes to DVD as there are Poeple doing it and every one has there own technique..I myself Have an "All In Wonder Radeon 7200" and used to own a "TV Wonder Card" and I use 2 different capture methods that seem to produce the best results, But I noticed that your System is Pretty Slow which is going to limit you with the methods you can use which also may limit your Capture Quality...You will Not be able to do Capture directly to Mpeg2 DVD because your PC is too slow so you are left with captureing to a Low compression AVI format which will Suck up a Lot of Disk space...I would recomend useing something like "Virtual Dub" or "Virtual VCR" to capture at full resolution(720+480/576-Pal)
AVI useing either the "HuffyUV" Codec or the "PicVideo Mjpeg" codec, and capture to a Large Fast Hard drive that has been defragmented..I would try the "HuffyUV" codec first but if you drop frames with it you should then switch to the "PicVideo Mjpeg" Codec but if you still drop frames it is because your PC is too slow and/Or your IDE/Hard drives are too slow....After captureing the AVI files you will have to encode the Captured AVI files to Mpeg2 for DVD and then author the Mpeg files to DVD with a DVD authoring Program.....You can Upgrade your PC to something like an Athlon XP 2000+ for about $120 US, or to an Intel 2.4ghz for about $150 US, that is with a new Motherboard and Proscessor.......well good Luck
