Convert Recorder DVD to DVD-R

    I posted this on another site prior to finding this one.

    I have a Panasonic DVD Player/Recorder. The recorded DVD will only play in that player. Is there a way to convert this to a format that will play on any player. I don't know what format the recorder uses. This is in-line with my TV.

    Hi: You should be able to use the "Finalize" function to make the DVDs compatible with other players. This assumes that you are using DV-R or -R/W DVDs. Recorders that are set up for DVD+R or +RW automatically finalize when you finish a recording.
