Ive got a 1.6gig AVI which is out of sync,i used VirtualDub to sync it up, the problem is: when i save it to AVI,the output file is nearly 50gig,why is that?

The default setting in VirtualDub for 'Video' is 'Full processing mode'
If you are not changing the video (if you are not using a filter), set it to 'Direct Stream Copy'.
