Hi all! I need to do a presentation for class and I want to include a video clip into the powerpoint.

I had no clue this was going to be such a pain.

Anyway the movie is on a DVD but it was copied to the DVD from a VHS.

I need to separate a video clip from the movie. For this, the Windows Movie Maker wants the whole thing in AVI. I don't know how to make it into AVI but I downloaded a program called AVS Video ReMaker, but it's not working very well.

    1. There is writing on the screen and I don't want it there. I also don't want to pay to buy it because I only need to use it once and I won't do this kind of thing often enough to own a program.

    2. When it finishes, the sound is broken and chopped.

Is there any other way to get this done?

    Thanks!

Ps. The file structure on the DVD itself is like this: Two folders: VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS. There are video files under each.
