Convert TS file into something smaller without loss of video or audio quality

    I have a clip in TS form that is pretty big and I was wondering if I could somehow transcode it into H264 or something like that that will use less space. I tried VLC already and it didn't work (Audio, but no video track). Thanks to anybody who can help me

    I used VideoCharge for that purpose once and was pleased with it. However the current version doesn't handle files >2GB, so take account of it.
