Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but my friend has a TV DVD recorder and records his old VHS tapes onto a DVD disc. They work well on the PC but not on the TV DVD Player as they have a VBO file(not VOB)and has one very large file (3GB). Is there anyway to convert the VBO file so I can play it on my TV DVD player. Most DVD convert software doesn't recognise the file.
    Any help Appreaciated.
    Thank You!!

Sorry! That should have read VRO file and not VBO. There are 2 files on the disk. VR_MANGR.IFO and VR_MOVIE.VRO.
    Thanks!

VRO Files and VOB files are both Variations of the Mpeg-2 format ....

If you want to make a Regular DVD Out of these Files then you will first need to have a Good DVD authoring program Like "MediaChance DVDLab Pro" and Simply Load the VRO file into the program (If it will not accept it as a VRO file Rename it to VOB)....

The Program will first Demux the VRO file into seperate audio and Video Files and then will let you add Manu"s and Chapters to your Movie and Format it all into a "Video_TS" folder which it will then Burn to DVD for you or you can Burn it your self useing something like Nero.....

    Cheers
