    new question :

what program will let me convert a video/movie file into an iso so i can burn it with dvd decrypter?

(dvd decrypter is the only thing i can get to work properly but it only burns iso files right ?)

im trying to avoid the step of creating the video_ts vob files. is this possible ?

    cool ,thanks.

    will try it tomorrow. :)
    ------------------------------
first i put my video clip movie (650mb) through VSO DIVXTODVD

    to make vob files.

then i put it through dvd shrink because that was the only way i knew how to make it into an ISO image lol

then i put the iso on a dvdrw with dvd decrypter !

    oohhh! too many steps! :(

lol but now i'll try the program you said for iso.

(it works in my dvd player ...but the first time i put it in it said "bad disk" after that its been working fine though...qualities pretty good)
    -------------------------------

i have to go through this process because im only able to get decrypter to work properly for some reason...nero wont work. :(

is there a way to go from video clip right to ISO ?

Try it this way, run your avi or, files of that ilk, through the VSO divXToDVD 'free' conversion tool.

This program will by, default, create its own folder in 'MY DOCUMENTS'

Now use DVDshrink/Nero, to access this folder, open it, and choose the title/titles you want to burn.

I can't find an easier way, and I'm into the simple way of life :)

i agree, cant see why you want to create an iso,and go the lomg way round to make a dvd out of an avi file??

dvixtodvd will create an video ts folder

just make a destination folder on your desktop, send it there
once done,it will contain a video ts folder,
    i burn mine with clonedvd2

    perfect results

    thank you for the help!

well im only temporarily doing this because as i said i can only get dvd decrypter to work !

:( no other burning programs will work on my pc for some reason...nero spits out the dvd's and wont burn my movies anymore :( but it used to...

so until i fix nero or get something else im doing this.

    - J (thanks again!)

    Hi animegir!
I dont understand why nero wont work for you.You wouldnt happen to have roxio on your system would you?Roxio conflicts with most burning software, especially nero.Maybe you had it at one time, and didnt get it completely deleted?Perhaps you have packet writting sofware on your system, such as InCd, or roxio drag to disc etc.Packet writting software is another app that conflicts with burning dvds with nero or other burning programs.

hursty i cant burn the video_ts folder because decrypter only burns iso's :( but your right that would be a much better way if i could.
    -------------------------

or are you saying something different ?

im just asking if there is a faster way from video clip to iso ?

    Your welcome
Nero is a great program, there should be no reason why you cant get it to work for you.I swear by nero.

hmmmmmmmm I just tried it and it said it was successful.
Did you go into your control panel,add/remove programs, and delete roxio,or easy cd creator, and then to program files, and delete the folder that says roxio or easy cd creator? It sounds to me like you havent deleted roxio at all.

i did remove roxio a while ago . its not on the list of programs in control panel.

but i found about 10 files when i do a search on my pc.

    files like :

    cddcontrolroxio.dll
    cddbuirroxio.dll

can i delete these manually or will it mess up my pc ?

Why not just use ImgTools Classic which will check to make sure the DVD structure is correct, creat the iso, and then burn it with DVD Decrypter?
