Hello, I'm fairly new to this whole techy world so please dont be too pissed off if ive posted in the wrong place. Here's the thing, ive been trying for sometime now to obtain some free software to be able to convert avi files to a dvd so that i can watch movies on my nice big tv. I got a copy of ConvertXtodvd as recommended by a few on here. However evrytime i try to burn a dvd i get a message on the bottom of the screen saying "failed - burn error or aborted by user" - even though the dvd pops out of the pc and it says process complete?? I've tried a few files to see if that was the problem but they all do the same thing. Any help would by greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Burning with ConvertX is optional. Save the output to a folder instead and burn the DVD with ImgBurn. Set the speed at 4x and only use good media (Verbatim is consistently reliable).
