Converters for Dummy's

    I have an interest in video editing. I have an imac G5 computer. I woudl like to transfer all of my old VHS tapes to DVD. I have no clue what progam to buy to do this. Can you reccomend anything. I would like to make it as easy as possible.

    To make this as easy and as affordable as Possible I would First recomend you use a PC as the Mac Just doesn"t have Very Much available Editing Software ,and Capture Devices for the Mac are Expensive and rare....

    Plextor has a MAC mpeg hardware capture device. Perhaps you can find a Mac users forum that offers you some insight on it in addition to their website.

    I have to use a mac to convert these as it is the only computer I have.

    What program should I buy ?

    FfmpegX will do everything you need.
    BTW, USB devices don't care if you're using a MAC or a PC.
