Converting avi files with dvd ac3 to vcd

    I have some avi files but tmpgenc wont sopport when i use it to convert these avis to mpeg any suggetions or help would be appreciated

    For AC3, you need to install fccHandler's AC3 ACM codec or input via dshow and have a dshow decoder installed (ffdshow, AC3Filter, etc.)

    If you don't even get video, then you need to install a decoder for whatever video it uses.

    i got avicodec and ffdshow and it stop say the files were unsupported but now when i click on start it says Can't load "P3Package.dll" what should i do

    I would demux the AC3 with AVIMuxGUI, convert to 224k mp2 using HeadAC3he or BeSweet, frameserve the video, resizing to 352x288/240 with AVISynth and encode that script to a VCD compliant m1v with TMPGEnc. Multiplex the two and you are done.

    thatnk i got the film machine and the besweet and got it encoding thanks thats real cool of you to help me out i appreciate it
