I download movies in avi format using utorrent.
When i download these movies I like to put them on my ipod so I use freez ipod converter to convert them to mpeg and import them into itunes. this works fine for most movies, but some movies' audio becomes out of sync. It is in sync on the avi file but on the mpeg it does not correspond to the video. This happens when there is no sound at the beginning of the movie in the avi file and the audio is pushed to the beginning from the point where it should usually start (later in the movie) How can I fix this? I have used multiple converters and it happens to the same movies every time.

Download GSpot and open one of the videos that produces out of sync conversion and one that does not and post the screen shots.

I am thinking the culprit is a VBR audio. If that is the case, then you have to strip the audio, convert it to CBR and mux it back with the video.
