Watup guys i need some major help her. I am a total neb at this. Alright heres the problem. I just tried to use the tutorial on this site to convert my avi to dvd but when i tried converting my AC3 to mp3 using virtual dub i got this error message.

Couldnt locate decompressor for format 'XVID'(unknown) VirtualDub requires a video for windows compatiable codec to decompress video. DirectShow codec such as those used by windows media player are no suitable only 'Direct Stream copy' is available for this video.

If someone could explain to me what the hell this means and how to fix it that would be great.

@drusse11 - your PC is simplhy missing the xvid 'codec' - find it here - http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec.

or you can try dvd danta as recommended by previous reply.
