converting fat32 to ntfs

    can someone explain to me how i would be able to convert my HD from FAT32 to NTFS without losing any of my files, i am running windows xp pro. please advise thank you.

    Tried Microsofts tutorial on converting to NTSF but it wouldn't work...ne other way to do it?

    go to your desktop

    press F1

    type in fat32

    you will find something on converting fat32 => ntfs


    otherwise partition magic might be very useful

    at a dos prompt type:

    CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS

    I tried the DOS method and it didn't work but I got it to work through WinXP so... I appreciate the help...
