I have a some flv videos which i captured from a live webcam, because of this when i play them back in VLC player they start half way through the seek bar, which is fine. However i need to convert them to avi without losing audio sync or anything.

So how do i convert it to avi perfectly?

    Thanks

This just seems to pick a random point in the video and then just displays that one screen for the duration of the entire video, even after i've taken the first bit of the video off. The video is only 30 mins or so long but it was half way through a live stream so after it converts the video it play for an hour, even though there is nothing for the first half hour.

I guess your video wasn't saved properly...because of this when i play them back in VLC player they start half way through the seek bar
    ...
If VLC plays the video okay, you could convert using VLC.
