I am about to make a trip home to my parents and my father has a long standing issue I am going to try to resolve.

He has a Vaio laptop with TV tuner and giga pocket. He has since discontinued using giga pocket since its an enormous pain in the ass BUT....

He had recorded several college football games off TV a while back. The files are whatever properitary file giga pocket uses and if he tries to bur these to DVD, it takes two DVD5s for a single game.

What is the easiest way to get these files to a usable format so I can compress them to fit onto a single DVD5? I think I remember there being a convert to Mpeg function....is that the best/easiest route?

Giga Pocket files are in MPEG-2 format. When I used to use Giga Pocket I could open them with any program that reads MPEG files.
