if this has been asked before, i apologise, i searched and couldn't find anything on the subject. okay, so i'm downloading something in HD .ts format, and acording to the nfo: 1280 x 720, 59.94 fps, 15.00 Mbps. now, i have no need for 60FPS, 24 is just fine, and (with my limited knowledge of how birates work) i figured that if i converted it to 24FPS, i'd also be able to significantly lower the birate (and thus, reduce the size from 20GB to either DVD5 or DVD9), yet keep the same quality. Oh and i'd aslo like to put it into .avi format, x264 codec. How would i got about doing this? i googled it and all i found was something called 'SUPER' which didn't even load up. TIA
x264 isn't a codec, it is an encoder only and I would suggest that you don't use the VfW version and don't use avi as a container. You might want to try DGIndex to create a d2v and demux the audio.
