I'm trying to rip The Day After Tomorrow onto my computer. There are about 6 .VOB files that the movie is split up into. Is there a way to rip it into 1 big file instead of 6 individual files?

    hi

why one big file? you can rip to iso which is one file!

iso can be loaded in a virtual drive for play back!

I'm new to all of this. How would I be able to rip it to ISO? I'm trying to rip the movie onto my computer, convert it to MP4, then put it on my PSP. I know its been done before, thats why I'm trying to get it into one big file so I just have to convert 1 file instead of 6. So what exactly can I do to make it 1 big file instead of 6?

You don't want to rip as an ISO if what you are trying to do is convert the DVD compliant files to an AVI or other video formats you will need all of those files. Once you have converted those files is when you will have one video file for playing back on your PSP..

I believe what you need to do is convert your DVD to DivX there are guides here at AD that show you how to do this whole process http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd2divx.cfm

    I hope that helps
    cheers

No thats not really what I'm looking for. I'm just trying to find a way to instead of getting 6 .VOB files to make it into 1 file (all 6 files together in 1 file).

Hi Rotary and nice to see you again :)

    @ BigBoiA,
You say you need to convert your DVD to MP4 for play back on your PSP right? Well if thats the case you have to use all those VOB's, IFO's and BUP files for the conversion. Ripping your DVD to an ISO (image) file won't do what you need to do. If however you can just play an ISO or image file on your PSP then you could just rip in ISO mode with Decrypter, but I don't believe the PSP will play ISO files? I'm not sure on that one? You are more than likely going to have to convert your files which is why you need all of those files and not one big file as you are saying. Once you have converted the DVD files you will then have one big file as you want for your PSP.. From what I have read and understand PSP will only play MP4 files so you need to convert those files into MP4... Check out this link http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INT...ovZbuA7QklNbZLS7FDizlqKfM=?ProductSKU=MSSWIC2 I hope that clears thing up a little. I gave you the link in my previous post to a guide here @ AD which will convert your DVD to an AVI or DivX file which you will probably need to do first..

    Cheers

Wow thats a lot of work. Like I said, I'm pretty much a newbie at this. Instead of ripping it from DVD I'm just gonna download it from somewhere and then just convert that file to MP4. Thats alot easier than doing all of that. Thanks for your help though!

It's really not much more than what you are talking about doing.. Only difference will be instead of ripping a DVD to your hard drive (which takes all of 10 min) Then converting it to an AVI instead of downloading it (which will probably take about the same time) In the end you would come out much better Copying your original DVD's (much better quality) you never know what you are going to get for sure when downloading... Really the whole process isn't that hard once you do it a couple of times.. Anyway which ever you decide I wish you the best of luck :)

Veblin thank you SOOOOO much! I followed that guide and put The Day After Tomorrow on my computer then converted it using 3GP and then put it on my PSP! DVD quality too! Now I'm working on getting The Matrix Reloaded onto it. Thanks alot for that site, it was exactly what I needed.
