My son sent me a video file ( MOV ) but the camera was on it's side so the film plays on it's side !
I know that Windows Movie maker is capable of turning the video thru 90 degrees, but how do I get Win Movie maker to accept a MOV file

I've never used Windows Movie Maker myself, but I took time to check. Seems that the program does not accept .mov, but many other formats (e.g. avi, wmv, mpeg). So all you need is to find a video converter to convert the mov into one of the formats that WMM would accept. If you care for freeware, try MediCoder:

    Good luck!
