It takes me anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 hours to convert a full movie from pal to ntsc. Is this normal? If not what can I do if anything to speed it up?
Will need a little more info than uou have provided, what programs are you using. What format is the original files.
I'm using NeroVision Express SE to convert an AVI file that's an hour and a half long(whole movie) and in PAL, to VOB files that's in NTSC.
If you are using NVE then open NVE, r/c on more, r/c on video options and you will get a screen similar to this Here you select PAL or NTSC and then allow NVE to do the rest.
that is the correct answer if your trying to make it go faster buy keeping it pal....but i converted the magic roundabout from pal to ntsc in 55 minutes....the movie is an hour and 14 minutes long...do you have a nero log that would definately help make things go a little faster
@drnknja I dont know what you're on about. No matter which format the movie is already, PAL or NTSC, once you select your Version(PAL or NTSC) in the box shown Nero will automatically convert and burn. The poster does NOT wish to keep the PAL format. I dont think posting a log will achieve anything.
yes it does sometimes...i was actually haveing some really crappy times when i first started but not so bad now i sweeped it clean and reloaded my 2 biggest problems was media and i upgraded past 6.6.0.18...but i really think it depends on the file type as well cause normally mpg seems to take a little less time then divx for me and divx is a little faster then xvid
@gwendolin ok i thought you were telling him how to keep it PAL so it would burn faster...cause at least from my personal experience it does take a little longer to change it from Pal and into NTSC...lol on my misunderstanding...sorry
