Converting VHS tapes in PAL to STNC

    Hi,
    I have some VHS tapes that are recoreded in PLA or SECOM. I want to transfer them to my computer and convert them to STNC. Right now, I am unable to watch them using my vcr. Any idea? I am grateful for your help.

    when you capture the vhs with a computer capture device the recording software will give you a choice of pal or ntsc

    Thanks. Any recomendation for the sotware? Is there any free version?

    I dont know of any free mpg capture programs but you can use virtualdub to capture avi and it is freeware
