    Hi guys,
OK what i want to do is this.
I have just seen some THX demo files available for download, they are in VOB format. I want to play them on my DVD THX system, not on my computer, but i dont have a DVDR.
Is it possible to write them to normal CD and play them or can i convert them to another format and play them that way.
The file themselves are pretty small, the largest is about 30 megs. If this is possible, what will i need to do it.

Thanks a lot but please bear with me as i am a total newbie when it comes to video

    Thanks again.
    Carl from Liverpool..

easy, encode the vob files to mpeg1 vcd hopefully your dvd player is vcd/svcd compatible. However you may lose some video quality. As with encodeing anything. u will need dvd2avi, Tmpgenc, and nero to burn. All of which u can get from this site. Then follow the guide on this site for dvd2vcd useing smartripper, dvd2avi, tmpgenc. Just skip the first step about ripping the dvd. When u finish u should have and mpeg1 file from ur vob files. Which u can burn with nero in vcd format, which again will hopefully play in your standalone dvd player. Let us know how u do.
