I have some video in Widescreen format and some in 4:3 format. My editing software won't allow me to put both in the same project. Is there a way of converting widescreen to 4:3 or vice versa. I have them in AVI format and miniDV tapes at the moment.

I use Studio 9, which works great except for this issue.

    Thanks for the help.

Also, my TV is widescreen, but I would also like my Family to view eventual DVD on their 4:3 tvs. Which is better for me to do........convert widescreen to 4:3 or 4:3 to widescreen??????

For WS to FS, you can cut the sides off or stretch the video. Neither is good... In your case you could letterbox it. Definatly not good for WS TV's though (bars on all four sides till you zoom).
