Hi ... I have a "wmv" file (a music video) I want to put onto cd-rom. I understand I have to convert it to either avi or mpeg1. How do I do this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Ian
you can convert wmv to mpeg1 with tmpgenc, you'll have to decompress the audio to wav with 'dbpoweramp' http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm download the wma v9 codec from the same page. as long as you have the latest windows media player 9 series (which contains the MS v1, v2, v3 codecs) you shouldnt have a problem with getting the video loaded into tmpgenc cheerz _X_X_X_X_X_[small]I'MMM GEEKIN OUT!!!![/small]
if you want to pay for an encoder just to convert wmv to mpeg well theres 1000000 and 1 other programs out there that are able to do this, but if you want a free encoder stick with tmpgenc.
Hi, I recommend you the program named WinAVI Video Converter http://www.winavi.com/video-converter.htm. In fact, it is a complete solution for video file converting and burning.
Thanks for the link, but it doesn't work, however, if you just go to http://www.winavi.com/ then you'll get a link to the converter. Thanks again!
hi, I'm seriously sorry for my carelessness! The exactly link that I want to write is http://www.winavi.com/video-converter.htm .
