i have a file with the above extension, and when i follow the avi codec/tmpgenc method for convertion to mpeg2 i am told that the file will not open (it plays ok in power dvd) or is not supported. i think it may have an mp3 audio track. how can i get this to convert?
Try This.... 1. Open your AVI file in VirtualDUB 2. Click Video - Direct Sream Copy. 3. Click Audio - Full Processing Mode. Click Audio again but click Compression then. 4. Select No Compression (PCM) and click OK. 5. Click File - Save as AVI to save. Be careful though as this method will produce a file much larger than your original file but Uncompressed audio works perfectly with TMPGEnc. BTW there are other methods to convert to DVD, often with more quality.
