Hello, I have been using RealProducer formerly Helix for a while and for some reason it doesn't see avi files encoded with XviD. So I have to convert them with a DivX codec first and then to .rm files. Is there another way or another encoder that I am missing. Please advise, Thanks.

Should accept anything that you can render via dshow. You could try frameserving with AVISynth.

When you say convert to DivX. Do you mean convert or just change the fourCC?

Thanks DaisyLin winavi works without a hitch but is slower than Real Media's own encoder.

I convert the XviD encoded file by using Dr.Divx then use the RealProducer to encode to .rm again.

All you need to do is change the fourCC. DivX's decoder can decode XviD, no need to re-encode.
