Ive downloaded the old Roots tv show from 1984 and want to watch on my dvd player.the files are xvidoptivid, they are not supported by
dvd santa ,winavi has a problem and has to close and covertx keeps giving error messages while converting. When played on my dvd player
the audio is ok but the picture is compressed to a line about 1 inch high across the middle of the screen.
Do I need to alter the settings in convertx?

Have you tried just watching it with a regular media player like Media Player Classic or VLC? I just wonder if your videos aren't DRMed or otherwise corrupted.

Anyway, look at AVI2DVD and also be sure you have a modern xvid codec installed from codecs.com.

    Hi there,

Give VSO ConvertXtoDVD v2.1.4.162 a try.

If you are still having issues, please provide us a full conversion log.

Hopefully the next build (If you upload the file to VSO for analysis) will fix, support your files.

I second that. DivXtodvD is the best video converter around and pretty fast too. I have one question myself though. I have several Xvid files which are part of one movie. Can you import all these files to burn as one? If not what's the alternative?

Avi2DVD is free though. I guess it depends if you can afford to spend the money or not. I hear ConvertXtoDVD is good.

    Hi,

Yes, you can load up to 64 input files (Small ones of course) and convert them all in 1 shot.

Each file will become 1 item in the menu.

So a 2 part movie, you can just name them

    Movie Part I
    Movie Part II

and it will play one after the other !
